Week (16)
Description:
Due to the heavy work load of my dissertation, progress on the build has been slow over the past few weeks. I have put together the base mechanism and placed a servo into it but i have not tested this however the movement feels good and the servo has a torque of (08kg) so it should be more than enough power to drive the ball baring belt of the base unit.
I am going to have to leave the build for a further few weeks while I finish my dissertation.
Feelings
I currently feel under a lot of pressure, the dissertation is just as important to me as this project regardless of how many credits its worth. I am at a crucial stage of the dissertation collating the results from survey monkey, and I do not have any spare time to finish or think about this project for the time been.
Evaluation
This has been a frustrating time for me as I am trying to juggle uni with family and other responsibilities I am hoping that If i leave the project for now and finish my dissertation I can start again with a clean slate and reignited enthusiasm.
Analysis
I can make sense of the current situation, this is why I am having to put this project on the back burner for now and deal with my dissertation which deadline is coming up shortly. This has affected my time management slightly and has sent me of my target time scale for the build (1.1). However I will keep running all the mechanisms regularly because they seem to stick if left for long periods of time.
Conclusion
In conclusion I do not feel there is much I can do about the current situation, i have to concentrate on my dissertation methodology
Action Plan
Action plan is to look into the Eliza side of the project over the next few weeks because I can do this on the go without having to cart around the build.
